Headteacher

My main role on the governing body is to provide the governors with high quality information about all aspects of the school and its achievements. I am on each committee and am there to answer questions and to make suggestions regarding future developments, government initiatives and to take a lead in strategic planning.

I first became a governor in 1983 when I was a deputy headteacher. The role of the governors has changed hugely in that time and although more complex is I think much more interesting and proactive.

I really value the support and challenge that I receive personally from the members of the governing body and the opportunities that arise for working with committed members of the school community to improve our school.
